I understand they have no legal obligation to do anything for me, I just incorrectly assumed that they would do the honest thing and own up to the issue.

There is one fellow who works there, that is understanding/caring/listens but, unfortunately he can't make any decisions without the owner. But he did seem to genuinely understand my concern of $105 till 10AM on the 1st and the horrible suggestion i be out there with a moving crew @ 12AM.

I will start off with saying if you do store anything at outback storage, make sure you contact your insurance company and get a supplemental policy to cover those goods. There is a decent chance that your goods will experience water damage and or mold issues (when I called to report this they asked which one because they had multiple units with mold at the time).

So long outback storage...good luck outback tenants

Mice and Spider Infestation (confirmed by moving crew, World Class Movers)

Now I will say that I did have issues with stored goods being damaged by water and subsequently mold. I didn't camp out in the unit to diagnose the issue for the owners, but when I have wet boxes and items in contact with the ground with mold, I use my deductive reasoning to determine that water got into the unit. This was of little consequence to the owners, they "looked into it" after we moved out and found no leaks via a rigorous (what I can assume to be 10 min) inspection on a hot, dry day.

He isn't necessarily rude, he is just an idiot. Very uncaring, and probably could care less about his customers - as long as he is bringing in the $.

Outback storage is the cheapest rates in town, so they get a star for that. Beyond that.... not a good experience.

I had my belongs stored there for little over 2 years (as i lived out of town, and couldn't return to it).

Their billing office, is a mess to. Poor organization. And the lady who handles payments behind scenes, even agreed cause she gets overwhelmed and walked into a mess when she first started. Dont have the slightest clue if she still works there, this convo took place 2/2016.

Great people very nice great price too

I haven't seen what kind of waivers, disclaimers, and liability releases you have to sign when you have the auto body side of the business do work, and I can promise I never will.

Outside of the mold and water issues you have the added benefit of doors that barely function and commonly get stuck in either the closed or open position, requiring you to have to pull hard enough to question if the whole door will come off. Another added benefit is that Outback storage will graciously park wrecked/scrap cars at the end of the drive paths between buildings. This not only increases the aesthetics of the facility, but also aids in the accessibility of your unit.

Outback storage will tell you that your renters and or home owners insurance will cover it, but that is a very policy/company dependent issue, and often times not accurate. Home owners insurance covers your house and the goods in it, not your goods stored offsite. When signing the terms of the storage unit (my wife did this and I didn't read the terms until it was too late) you essentially acknowledge that outback storage has no liability and or obligations to provide you... well anything. The release states that the "owner" is released from all liability for everything, from acts of god, to owner negligence, to theft. So even though they advertise providing a "clean and safe storage unit" they have no obligation to provide either of those qualities.

First Months Storage Unit was NOT applied as promised/advertised

Was charged $105 for the month of September, when i was out by 10Am on 9/1/17. To avoid the $105 September, owner suggested that my movers (Wolrd Class Movers) get there BEFORE MIDNIGHT on the 31st and to park their truck outside my house until daylight/as soon as i got the key to move in.

Took 3 Months for a leak to be addressed and they lost my spare key

The price was good. The only thing I stored in the unit that I rented was my Corvette, which I stored there for part of the winter. To protect my car, I fortunately bought two wind up mouse traps from Amazon and placed them into the unit with my car. During the 2 1/2 months it was there I stopped by about once per week to check on it. During that time I caught 18 mice. My mother in law has a storage unit in another facility in Gardner, and they put poison out in the units. I had her put mouse traps in her unit, and she hasn't caught a single mouse there.

I had numerous items damaged including a car seat that we were needing for one of our 8 month old twins, but now that's covered in mold. I tried to work with the owners to reach a resolution, they refused to acknowledge that there are issues with the unit. When offing up pictures to prove the problems they decline. When telling them that even their own employee acknowledged that there was an issue they just went back to the release of liability.

I almost never write reviews, especially about places of business, but in this case I feel compelled to provide a public warning.
